2. What information is collected

When you send us an enquiry through the website’s contact form, we collect your name, email address, company name if given, and the content of your message. We also collect technical information about the visit, such as IP address, browser type and which pages are viewed.

3. Purpose and legal basis

Information from the contact form is used to answer your enquiry and, where relevant, to prepare a lease. The processing is based on the company’s legitimate interest in responding to enquiries and on steps taken at your request before entering into a contract. Technical information is used to operate and improve the website.

4. Cookies

The website uses only those cookies necessary for its operation. We do not use analytics tools and do not track your visits to other websites. You can set your browser to refuse cookies, though this may affect how the site works.

5. Disclosure and processors

The website is hosted by Webflow, Inc., which processes personal data on our behalf. We do not sell personal data and do not disclose it to third parties unless required by law. Processing may take place outside the European Economic Area, in which case appropriate safeguards apply.

6. Retention period

Enquiries are retained for three years after being answered, unless they lead to a contract, in which case retention follows the rules applying to the contract and to accounting legislation.

7. Your rights

You have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict its processing, to object to processing, and to receive it in a machine-readable format. Write to laki@laki.is and we will respond as soon as we can.

8. Complaint

If you consider that the processing of your personal data does not comply with the law, you may lodge a complaint with the Icelandic Data Protection Authority, personuvernd.is.
