Suðurlandsbraut 18

Suðurlandsbraut 18 is 3,442 square metres of office and retail space on one of the city’s main thoroughfares, built in 1973. It was designed by the architects Guðmundur Kr. Kristinsson and Ferdinand Alfreðsson and is known locally as Esso-húsið, having been the headquarters of the oil company Olíufélagið. The building looks out towards Laugardalur, Mount Esja and the sound beyond. It divides into a front building and a rear building, with a car park on two levels. The site carries development rights for a further 2,400 square metres. Part of the building is available to let.
